Nabaat Shelter was set up about 4-5 years ago by Ms. Simin Rahmani. She doesn’t recall the exact year but says she has always been aiding and feeding homeless dogs and cats. About 4 or 5 years ago, a private citizen who had been observing her frequent feedings of animals and her constant presence where many dogs roamed around looking for food, moved him to offer her a piece of land that he still owns outside Kerman as a site to set up a shelter. That site is now home for over 600 dogs and the numbers grow daily.

Ms. Rahmani has a small team of 2 full time workers although she needs a lot more help but she lacks the funds to employ more workers. Her days are spent entirely on taking care of hundreds of dogs in her own shelter and then feeding over a thousand dogs in a so called govt shelter where the city has trapped these poor animal with no FOOD or WATER. The dogs were left there to die of hunger and thirst and many did die until Ms. Rahmani found out about this death camp and since then for the past year or so, on a daily basis she buys food for all the dogs, both for her own shelter and for the death trap that govt has set up and she goes there with her small crew and feeds them. It goes without saying that she is terribly understaffed and desperately needs help from animal lovers so she can hire more workers, rescue dogs from the govt’s death camp and move them into her own shelter and be able to do a whole lot better job of feeding and taking caring of them. Ms Rhamani receives no financial support from the local govt nor from any organization. Her shelter is bare minimum, far from what an animal shelter should be. This shelter needs a lot of help to become a more suitable and God willing a happy place for these dogs to live, not a place where they merely exist.
